I took HSK 6 last December, after completing Chinese Zero to Hero HSK 6 course. This course helped me a lot during the preparation of the exam, I could memorize all the chengyu requested using their amazing dictionary and through the videos that explains all the dialogues from the textbooks. The extra resources that the course provide guarantees a unique and valid help in the learning process.
My plans for the future are improving my Chinese pronunciation and my speaking ability.
Thanks Jon and Ken! :)

Hi, I'm Steward Jie Van from Indonesia, I needed to start studying for HSK 5, and I saw the Zero To Hero courses on the internet so I bought it , it really helped me. My pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar became so much better after I cleared all of the HSK 5 courses. After that I started to clear all the mock tests, past exam and 真题 , then I took the test , and pass the exam. I’m really grateful I bought this course.
Hi everyone! I'm Dmitry from Russia. Some time ago I bumped into some grammar explanation videos on ZTH YouTube channel and found them extremely useful, so I purchased HSK 5 and 6 bundle.
Two month ago I tried myself on HSK test, but leaving the examination room I felt that I did bad and won’t get the results that would satisfy me, so I registered for exam again, but this time I used ZTH course as a base of my study process, within 25 days I completed 18 lessons, spending approximately 7-9 hours a day, and also did some 真题 few days before the test. And the result was beyond my expectation, I got 65 points more comparing to the first test in such a short period of time!
ZTH course works perfect, and I will use it to get HSK 6!

Hi, It’s Noman from Pakistan. I was looking for some other language resources to supplement my studies at the university. It was when I came across CZH YouTube Channel. I found these free preview video unique and extremely useful. So, I decided to buy the whole bundle HSK 1-6. CZH repeatedly emphasis on going beyond the limits of HSK standard course. The resources that CZH shares about listening and reading really helped me to prepare for HSK5 Exam. Since clearing HSK5 exam, I’m working on HSK6 now. Also I would like to mention the new course “Path to Fluency”, the tips and resources available in that course, meticulously gathered by the team, can not be found anywhere else.
I’m a consultant and entrepreneur in China. I’ve lived here for 12 years and tried all sorts of Chinese lessons and programs. Zero to hero is the best! It has kept me motivated and helped me build confidence. I felt connected to a community and had confidence to keep setting goals for myself. I never dreamed I’d be able to make it this far. Soon I will need to start designing a cape!
I'm Australian and moved to China five years ago. I learned Chinese through many methods including this website and constantly communicating with my Chinese wife.
I have been using Chinese Zero To Hero since HSK 3.
Chinese Zero To Hero gave me a solid system to methodically work through each chapter. I would always listen to the lessons and do the small quizzes before having my weekly lesson with my Chinese teacher, where I could go through any problems I still had. Chinese Zero To Hero would always respond to any questions I had very quickly.
I plan to study Chinese for the rest of my life and hope to be able to read newspapers and understand movies easily one day.
I am using Chinese Zero to Hero videos for my teaching and studying purpose and found it very useful. It helps in clearing my doubts. The sentences used in the videos helps in making the concept very clear. Finally I found useful videos of HSK 6 after many years of search. Thanks Jon and Ken.
I'm Peter. I've been living in China since 2015 and currently live in a small city near Suzhou. The Chinese Zero To Hero 3, 4 and 5 courses have all been super useful for me. My favorite parts of the HSK5 course were the explanations of grammar points and text translations.
Hi, I am Naim from Afghanistan. I came to China almost two years ago with the hope of developing a career and shaping my future.
I enrolled in a college and studied there for almost four months but I needed a more flexible, self paced and cheaper option, therefore I decided to start self studying.
Since then, I have gone through tens of resources that each in their turn contributed much to getting me where I am but among all these resources I feel like Chinese Zero to Hero is one of the best because I feel like Jon and Ken have tried to prepare the most authentic, comprehensive and well explained guide for getting Chinese learners from zero to even beyond their goal and have succeeded to do so.
NYASHA P. M.
I first discovered Zero to Hero on YouTube and this made me interested in joining the course which was very very helpful both for exam preparation and improving my level of understanding the language.
I am a recently graduated student living in the UK and I have been self-studying Chinese for about 1 year now. I first came across the CZH Youtube videos when I was at HSK 2 level and found them really helpful, so decided to purchase the HSK 3 CZH course. I found the videos not only professional but also enjoyable and very well explained. Delighted with the progress I was making I continued with the HSK 4 course, then the HSK 5 course, and within 7 months CZH had taken me from HSK 2 level to HSK 5 level and I can now enjoy communicating with native speakers! Jon and Ken have done a tremendous job at pitching the videos at the right skill level, making you feel like you're stretching your abilities while never feeling like the content is unmanageable. The best part of the courses are their in-depth discussion of the grammar points, which can be difficult to self-study from a book.
2020 has been a whirlwind of a year but the voices of Jon and Ken have been with me throughout and it has been a thoroughly enjoyable journey. I now look forward to progressing from textbook learning and following the tips in the massively helpful "Path to Fluency" course to try and get my Chinese to the stage where one day I could use it in a professional setting.
I'm Berke from Turkey. In Chinese zero to hero, progressively I took Level 1 to Level 5 courses and finally I passed the HSK 5 exam. Now I study in Shanghai and started studying for HSK 6. From my point of view, the text translations were the most useful because it allowed to understand the concept of text.
I had about 4-5 months time given by my University to reach HSK 5 with 200+ points in order to participate in a particular scholarship. Since my Chinese lvl was just at about 50% of HSK 4 I decided to give up my social life and work with ZeroToHero and twice a week with a private tutor. I have to say it was so much to learn but it feels good to challenge yourself and get rewarded and I can recommend this program to everyone that absolutely wants to pass HSK 5. If you take about 6 months and study everyday, there is no way you wont make it.
My name is Sarhata all the way from Senegal. I started studying Chinese 8 months ago and I am very pleased I could achieve such high scores with the help of Chinese Zero To Hero. Finding them on YouTube was the best thing that could happen to me because it helped me achieve my goal of reaching advanced level Chinese in less than a year. These videos are extremely detailed to the point you don't even need the assistance from teachers which says a lot. I am extremely thankful to Ken and Jon, your work is appreciated more than you could ever know. HSK 5 here I come!!!

I’m a college teacher living in Hebei Province going on my second year living in China. While preparing to take HSK 4, I discovered Chinese Zero to Hero and was instantly hooked. I completed their entire HSK 3 and 4 courses before taking the test–which made a tremendous difference. The grammar videos are particularly helpful and insightful. I’m studying for HSK 5 now and am still regularly using Chinese Zero to Hero as a study-aid tool. You can’t go wrong with these guys. Whether you’re just starting or an advanced student, I 100% recommend Chinese Zero to Hero to anybody looking to improve their Mandarin.
I’ve taken the Chinese Zero to Hero HSK3 and HSK4 classes with great results! I love getting the translations/explanations for grammar and vocabulary so I can use the words confidently in my daily life here in Suzhou, China. I’m currently using the HSK5 Chinese Zero to Hero course to help me prepare for writing HSK5 in summer 2019. Thank you very much Chinese Zero to Hero!

I am Han Soe Htet from Myanmar. I’ve been learning Mandarin for nearly three years now.The Chinese Zero to Hero videos I’ve watched so far on YouTube have really helped me grasp some of those tricky grammar points. I’m close to hitting HSK5 so will use the videos to review what I’ve learnt and clear up anything I don’t quite grasp fully. In the future, I hope to continue on with HSK6 and be able to use Mandarin in a work setting.
I was introduced to Chinese Zero to Hero through Youtube videos, and I can honestly say I haven’t found a better way to make sense of Chinese grammar! The materials here have helped me immensely. As a Chinese major, making good sense of the grammar is absolutely essential. In the near future I’ll be taking the HSK5 exam, and I am sure I will pass with the help of Chinese Zero to Hero! My name is Suvdaa. I am from Mongolia. I have been learning Chinese for 2 years. January of 2019 took HSK 4 and got 260 score out of 300. Now, preparing for the next level. To get this high score, this site really helped me lot. 很高兴找到这个channel on Youtube.
My name is Thanchanok Khongsakdinasarn, 25 years old, from Thailand. I started studying Chinese 3 years ago. However, I’ve never had a chance to seriously study the Chinese because of the time. And one day, I found chinesezerotohero site. Without hesitation, I took the HSK 4 Bundle course and finally I registered HSK4 at the same time. I haven’t finish the whole course yet, but I’ve already passed the exam.
I’m a Ghanaian, currently studying Medicine here in China.
I begun studying HSK as a requirement for my course and graduation.Initially my purpose was just to study and pass the exams. As time went by I realized I needed more than just pass the exams but to experience the advantage and the joy that comes in learning a new language .
Going through various sites and resources to augment what I was taught in class,I chanced on Chinese Zero to Hero on YouTube. It then became my major resource which helped me through out my course especially HSK 4.The Videos were great since it makes you feel the teacher was just with you giving you an in-depth explanations of grammar points.Learning Chinese never gets boring with CZH.

Harshawardhan D. R.
My name is Harshawardhan from India. I was preparing for HSK 4 since January 2021 and took test in March 2021. One day during the preparation time, I was looking for grammar explanation for a very small query, Most of the videos on YouTube could not satisfactorily explain it to me.
Later, I saw the video of Chinese Zero to Hero, I then decided to buy it as soon as possible. I bought HSK 4 Bundle in 20 days before the test. And the teachings of the teachers here is so perfect, excellent and so soothing to hear. They also teach practically, which means a lot for a student like me. This helped me a lot during the second question of rearrangement in Reading Section, which I was very much afraid of. Also, they suggest you to practice words on Quizlet, I could efficiently revise all of my words on Quizlet itself.
I would not have cleared my exam without Chinese Zero to Hero. Thank You So Much Chinese Zero to Hero. Since I have cleared HSK 4 now, Chinese is amazing. I will continue for more levels in near future. Along with Spanish.
I highly recommend Chinese Zero to Hero. I have used many different tools and methods in my quest to learn the Chinese language. I began using the HSK books about a year ago with my tutor and noticed the tight integration between Chinese Zero to Hero right away. I have completed HSK 3 and HSK 4 with Zero to Hero and plan to tackle HSK 5 this year. The video lessons augment the lessons in the book and provide a way to go back and review a grammar point when I am stuck or when I need a quick refresher. My score on the HSK 4 test is not outstanding, but I had not planned on the writing portion of the test. My goal was to pass the test by doing my best on the listening and reading portions and that is what I did. Join Chinese Zero to Hero and you can do it too!
I’ve been learning Mandarin for nearly three years now and am well aware of how some grammar points just take a while to really stick, particularly when they are explained to you in Mandarin. The Chinese Zero to Hero videos I’ve watched so far on YouTube have really helped me grasp some of those tricky grammar points. I’m close to sitting HSK4 so will use the videos to review what I’ve learnt and clear up anything I don’t quite grasp fully. In the future, I hope to continue on with HSK5 and be able to use Mandarin in a work setting.
I find Chinese Zero to Hero to be an invaluable resource to the Chinese language learning enthusiast! The course is well structured and well made! The perfect complement to the HSK standard course textbooks. The videos of Chinese Zero to Hero have helped me tremendously in my quest to fluency, the videos are so much fun to watch and are very informative. It adds a fun factor to the study routine that aids in avoiding burnout and maintaining consistency in progress. In the future, I hope to work as a diplomat that helps bridge the diplomatic ties between my country and China. Chinese Zero to Hero is helping me achieve my goals.
My name is Sarhata all the way from Senegal. Chinese Zero To Hero is the best material on learning Chinese I have ever stumbled upon. Nowhere else will you find better written and explained classes. You can quickly but surely increase your Chinese understanding and written skills which helps tremendously. Chinese Zero To Hero is inarguably the best. As simple as that! Thank you so so much for all the hard work you put on these courses.
Hi I’m Fabrice, I was born in Paris, France, but now I live in San Diego, California. I started learning Chinese a fews of years ago by myself for fun, and have traveled 3 times to China to visit. I just passed HSK 3 and will now start studying HSK 4! I used a combination of Chinese Zero to Hero and a private tutor to achieve a good score and I will do the same for my new HSK 4 studies. I've used Chinese Zero to Hero since HSK 2 and I think it is an excellent add-on to the HSK Standard Course.
I am from Poland. I have started learning Chinese 6 months before taking HSK3. My main purpose was to pass the exam and be admitted to the scholarship in China. At that time I lived in London and I couldn’t afford to have a teacher of Chinese. Luckily I have found ChineseZerotoHero on Youtube. With their help and a lot of self-determination I have managed to ace HSK3, got almost 100%. The online course was extremely thorough and helpful, combining that and the HSK book works just as great as hiring a teacher. Thanks to this I was awarded a scholarship in China and now I live and study in Chongqing.
First of all, I want to thank you guys for the amount of work you have done! Chinese zero to hero is an amazing project.I took your HSK3 course and successfully passed the official exam with high score, all thanks to you guys! I am a 23 year old student from Latvia. In the near future I’m planning to go to China in order to continue my studies. I’m absolutely convinced that taking your HSK4 course will help me to ace the exam as well!
I am a Vice Director at an international school in China. I’ve taken courses 1-4. I’m currently waiting on my HSK 4 test scores while starting the HSK 5 course. I recommend these courses to any and everyone. They are simple yet comprehensive and very direct. The courses are so helpful, I really only needed my tutor as a language partner. My future plans are to pass the HSK 5&6 exams with a minimum score of 240.
I started to learn Mandarin in 2012, all by myself. Back then, there weren't many resources to study by ourselves. Along the years found many new resources, a lot of content available, very famous, but...something was always missing...
Then, I found Chinese Zero to Hero - and everything has changed.
Useful, well organized, clear, contemporaneous, motivational, enthusiastic content. The videos look like we are in a real classroom, but so much better! That missing something? They have it. Simply amazing. No words. Chinese Zero to Hero has been helping me recover my enthusiasm about learning Mandarin and, 6 years later, I'm back on tracks. HSK 4 to 6, here I go!
Thank you so much for all the hard work you put into these courses! I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you guys.
I have recommended this course to all my friends who are also learning Chinese since I have tried a lot of different courses and none of them can compare to yours.
I’m really grateful from the bottom of my heart.
I’m from Germany and started to learn Chinese to be able to communicate with the family of my Chinese wife. I was introduced to Chinese Zero to Hero through YouTube videos and already took the Chinese Zero to Hero HSK 3 class. I really enjoy Jon’s way of teaching and explaining Chinese grammar points. In the future, I plan to continue learning Chinese to get a head start before our newborn baby boy starts to speak Chinese.
Hello, 24-year-old mathematics student here who studies Chinese as a hobby. I did the HSK3 course. The videos you produced made the content funny and interesting, compared to the sometimes boring conversations in the book. Looking forward to start with the HSK4 soon!
I have studied Chinese for 1 year. I attend HSK 2 and 3 with Zero to Hero. They help me understand all grammar point which are used in HSK tests. My future plan in Chinese is to attend HSK4 and will take an exam in next 2 months.
I would love to complete hsk 6 in the future.
Thanks Team ZTH! I have been struggling to get beyond HSK 3 for a long while, as there are very few good resources, but this website makes everything so clear! Looking forward to attempting HSK 4 in June ?
I am Matthew from the USA, I worked in China for a year and studied mostly on my own. Even though I was in an environment with Chinese frequently, it was so helpful to use the Zero to Hero resources and videos to guide my study. I felt fully prepared for the HSK 3 test. I plan to continue and take the HSK 4 test within the year.
My name is Carlos and I am from Ecuador, I work in Guayaquil at a very known Chinese company which goes by the name of Huawei. I’m a telecom engineer; I’ve always had a passion to learn languages, Chinese being my fifth among Spanish, English, Italian, French, Chinese and Japanese. I learn languages because they teach me a lot about the world. I took HSK 3 by enrolling on a local Chinese school and now I’m on my way to going all the way to HSK 6. I just discovered the zero to hero courses and I think they’re great, so I’m planning to use them to achieve such goal. My plans for the future are to pass all HSK exams and become fluent in Chinese language and start new languages as well. I hope I see all the world before my world becomes dark and my eyes close forever.
I’m from Montreal, Canada and I’ve been teaching English in Guangzhou since 2015. Chinese Zero To Hero is honestly the basis and scaffolding for my learning Chinese. My favorite part is getting exact translations/explanations of grammar and vocab from someone who is fluent in English and Chinese so that I can then use the words and grammar confidently in my daily life. My goal is HSK4 in summer 2018, HSK5 in summer 2019, and longer term to be vaguely fully fluent.
I just wanted to express my thanks for making this awesome course. I did my HSK 3 exam yesterday and feel very good about it. For sure this course has made the learning experience much more pleasant and efficient!
I took the Hsk 3 A and part of B. It was helpful because it was better organised than my Chinese classes and your explanations are so much easier to understand. With the exam, I could apply to the scholarship at my Confucius Institute and got it. I’m writing this from my dorm at the 上海外语大学 where I’ll spend one year. I will start classes next week and will work hard to get a Hsk5 by the end of the year. I will use your videos to complement my studies here. Thank you so much!
I am a college student from Germany majoring in Chinese studies. After participating in the Zero to Hero HSK3 I felt very well-prepared. The best thing about these courses are the grammar point videos. If I had trouble understanding something in my language classes in college, I would review the lesson by watching the corresponding Zero to Hero videos. It’s like having a tutor, just more accessible and less of a hassle. Right now I am studying for the official HSK4 exam, and I will soon enroll in the Zero to Hero HSK4 course. I want to thank the entire Chinese Zero to Hero team for creating such amazing courses and bringing me one giant leap closer to fulfilling my dream of becoming fluent in Chinese!!
I am a Spanish language teacher at a school in India and I’m very much passionate in learning Chinese language. As a self learner of languages, the course by ChineseZeroToHero was of great guidance in learning and scoring better in my exams. I also hope for scoring better in my HSK 4 exam, as I have enrolled in HSK4A Course. My future goal is to score good in my HSK5 and to avail the Confucius institute scholarship for Masters in teaching Chinese as second language from a reputable University in China.
USMAN PERVAIS M.
I am a mechanical engineer from Pakistan currently working in China. I took the official HSK 3 test and successfully passed the exam. I got a huge help from chinese Zero to Hero courses in achieving this score.
大家好！I have been learning Chinese on and off for quite a few years now, but only recently began to take it seriously. I have lived in both Chengdu and Hong Kong for a few years studying Mandarin and Cantonese and teaching English to support myself. I have since moved back to the states and decided I would like to be able to better communicate with native Mandarin speakers when I inevitably return as I always do. I saw some of ZeroToHero’s videos on Youtube and found it very useful in supplementing my studies. With this help, I recently passed the HSK3 and am now currently studying for the HSK4. I have made it my goal to eventually pass the HSK6 and hopefully do some translation work!
Shortly after arriving in China, I realised that learning mandarin was extremely important, not only for conversation purposes, but also for purchasing those daily necessities. Later during my first year in China, I decided to begin studying for the HSK and I found the Chinese Zero to Hero videos on YouTube. These videos facilitated the understanding of the grammar points in the HSK book, and increased my confidence as I prepared for the exam. I am now studying for the HSK 4 and continue to use the Zero to Hero videos in order that they may help to further develop my linguistic knowledge.

I’m a Mom of a delightful half Chinese daughter, and we live in a town with a large percentage of Chinese residents.
I’ve been studying Chinese for just over a year and have checked out every online resource that I possibly could.
ZeroToHero kept popping up in my YouTube suggestions and the price really made it possible to check it out for myself (HSK 2) , no regrets! It provided so many “AHA!l “ moments for the Chinese grammar.
I’m now studying for HSK 5 and the videos Chinese Zero to Hero includes for learning and absorbing the longer, more detailed texts are such a godsend.
After the HSK 2 course I bought the bundle all the way to fluency....I wouldn’t do HSK without these guys!
I thought it would be an intriguing challenge to learn Chinese within one year. I began in September 2017 and wrote the exam in May 2018. It’s certainly not the best score, but it’s one of my proudest moments.
I am a Bollywood Dance Teacher, I go to China many times to teach dance. In the beginning it was very difficult to talk to them, But now After HSK 3 it is quite easy, Now, I love Chinese language so I'm preparing for HSK 4, Zero To Hero's website helped me a lot to understand not only the new words but also to understand grammar. Thanks a lot.
Ever since I can remember I was into Asian culture. Martial arts, calligraphy, philosophy. I ended up doing a PhD in Anthropology in Xiamen University, about contemporary Chinese society. Here, I’ve studied for a year and passed HSK3, but even though I’ had been studying in a Chinese university, I’ve had some questions about grammar not even professional Chinese teachers couldn’t explain. Then, I found Chinese Zero to Hero – this has been an amazing and comprehensive resource that finally helped me more than any tutor or channel could. Now I’m getting ready for HSK5, and I am 100% certain I will pass with flying colors, thanks to the Jon and Ken!
I live in Switzerland and I’m 63 years old. To learn foreign languages is my hobby. I learned by myself with the computer and, unfortunately, I discoverd CHINESE ZERO TO HERO! only a few days ago. Any plans for the future? Hm, I would like to speak Chinese fluently… So, I will repeat very well all the lessons.我爱好学习汉语！

I’m an IT professional from the United States seriously studying Mandarin for a little over a year now. I first discovered the Chinese Zero to Hero videos on YouTube. I found them very informative and entertaining and I have been using them ever since. This series is a fantastic supplement to Jiang’s texts, reasonably priced, and easy to follow. For me, they were invaluable for squeezing in lesson review time during long drives or on the treadmill. Their grammar lessons are thorough…and I’m looking forward to their newer “Chinese Gone Wrong” grammar clean-up series. It’s a great find.
Thank you!

The Chinese Zero to Hero videos I’ve watched on YouTube have really helped me grasp some of those tricky grammar points which I found them really difficult. I have recommended this course to all my friends who are also learning Chinese since I have tried a lot of different courses and none of them can compare to yours. As an entrepreneur that would like to extend my business to China, I am fascinated to see how fast things go in the Chinese economy. For this reason, I started study Chinese, to better integrate myself in the interactions and my future business in Asia. While a standardized test does not fully measure the knowledge of a language, it can certainly be some milestone. Chinese Zero to hero definitely makes a shift from the quite boring books which is lacking that tiny bit of extra information, to a fully understandable package. My plan is to continue growing my Chinese skills and work towards HSK4.
I passed the HSK3 exam, now I want to take HSK4 but is not easy to find teachers that can give me courses with the goal of passing the exam. Thats why I’m joining Zero to Hero, a friend of mine recommended this plataform and they have guided videos that is just what I need!
I’m a medical student from Mexico and I started studying Chinese some years ago but because of my career, I coudn’t keep going to my Chinese classes and continue studying on my own, I want to go China to study some time and for that I need to have HSK, this course is really helpful and practical with grammar and vocabulary. Now I want to try hsk 4, raise my score and achieve my goal. Thank you!
I’m a student pilot from the Philippines learning Chinese for about a year now. I used the free videos from the Chinese Zero to Hero YouTube channel and the grammar PDF it provides to assess my level. I plan to take an official test in the near future with the help of the Chinese Zero to Hero HSK 4 course.
My name is Stefan, I’ve been studying Chinese on and off for a year and a half but it’s only with the Zero to Hero videos I’ve really been able to understand the grammar.

您好，我叫陈明正. I used ChineseZeroToHero for both my HSK 2 and HSK 3 tests and passed both. The program is extremely valuable for such a low price. I especially appreciated the detailed grammatical examples which are essential in passing the HSK tests and very well explained in the video course. Thank you ChineseZeroToHero！
After finding success in HSK 1, I continued to use Chinese Zero to Hero to help me prepare for HSK 2. The course certainly helped to simplify my studies by focusing on the items that mattered most. The results of my HSK 2 exam is the testament to Chinese Zero to Hero’s effectiveness as a learning tool. Now it’s on to HSK 3!
I am a Neurology resident from the US. I wanted to study Chinese to communicate with both my family and my patients. Chinese Zero to Hero really helped me feel comfortable with Chinese grammar and listening skills. I binge watched all of the Zero to Hero HSK2 videos in a week! The videos are succinct, yet thorough, and also very funny. They make learning the language a lot of fun. I’m working on HSK3 now.
I’m a Dean working in China. So far I’ve completed HSK 1-3. I just took the HSK3 test just last weekend. Thanks to Chinese Zero to Hero, I think I did better than expected but have to wait two weeks before I’m able to see the results. I plan to pass the HSK6 test with a score of 240 or higher in Oct 2019.
I am Anabel and I am a Spanish teacher. I started learning Chinese in a private school some time ago. I have always enjoyed face to face lessons way more than online classes. However, I had to move because of work and in my new city the only school that teaches Chinese was not good enough, so I decided to enrol this one. Not only did I love the course, but the grammar was comprehensible.
I am a Hakka Chinese, started learning Mandarin 10 years ago. I have wanted to take the HSK exams for a while now, so this year I decided to take them for real. I have yet to buy the courses, for HSK 2 I used the YouTube videos. I found them really helpful, as they explain the grammar in a really clear way, which the standard course book does not. I intend to take all HSK exams and buy the bundle.

I am a PhD student at Jiangsu University Majoring in Traffic and Transportation Engineering. I have been studying Chinese for the past six months. My goal is to at least speak and write Chinese. I took on HSK1 and HSK2 courses on Chinese Zero to Hero. I am also currently enrolled in the HSK3 and HSK 4 Part A and B. The courses I took help to understand the grammatical rules which help me in understanding the conversations in the HSK2 Level.
I’m an aerospace engineer from the United States who developed an interest in learning Chinese over a year ago with a goal of being able to communicate when I travel. I have tried a handful programs which claim to be a quick and easy, but was disappointed until finding Chinese Zero to Hero. The HSK 1&2 courses go into enough depth to support self studying, but without so much bloat that they are inefficient, repetitive, or boring. Personally, the grammar points are the most confusing aspect of Chinese, but the courses explained these very well. I will continue onto HSK3!
I am a sociology student from Quito-Ecuador. In my graduation requirement was an international certification in any language of my election. I chose Chinese because I think its culture is very interesting and challenging. I took the course Chinese Zero to Hero to help me to prepare for the HSK 2 exam. It really helped me understand Chinese grammar, and improve my listening skills.
I really recommend it.
I took the HSK2 Bundle Course with Chinese Zero to Hero. Very helpful. Clear explanation. Reasonably priced. The most effective learning option for me so far! I am currently enrolled in the HSK3 Bundle Course and planning to take HSK3 later this year. I also think it is awesome now that there is a built-in dictionary in the website. Super convenient!
Hi I’m Fabrice, I was born in Paris, France, but now I live in San Diego, California. I started learning Chinese a couple of years ago by myself for fun, and have traveled 3 times to China to visit. I stopped learning for almost a year due to multiple travels, but then restarted using Chinese Zero to Hero as my base study guide for HSK. I just passed HSK 2 and will now start studying HSK 3! Why learning HSK for fun ? It gives me a specific goal and forces me to study hard because i’m the lazy type, and then it rewards me when I pass, acknowledging my hard work!
I am from Serbia. From my childhood I like China a lot. It started with Bruce Lee movies and later I studied about Chinese art, philosophy and culture. I came to China to work, live and study Chinese language. I took courses Zero To Hero 1, 2 and 3. It help me a lot to understand Chinese grammar and pronunciation. It is very clearly explained in those courses. My plans are to stay in China, learn fluently Chinese language and become more familiar with Chinese people. Of course I want to pass all HSK levels.

I have been working in China for the past two years and have studied Chinese upon arrival. I have tried several learning methods, but none of them have been as good as Zero to Hero. Their learning methods are diverse and built upon each other, while also enabling you to study at any time and at any place.
I’m Shrayan from India. I wanted to study Chinese as I was very much interested in their web novels and manhua. The course of Chinese Zero To Hero for HSK2 has good emphasis on vocalbulary and there are characters in video instead of just pinyin which really helped in the exam as I could directly read from the characters and it is faster compared to processing the pinyin. I intend to study this beautiful language more to independently read web novels in Mandarin.
I am an English teacher in China trying to finally learn some Chinese. I took the HSK 2 course, and the grammar lessons in particular were a huge help in passing the test. next up is HSK 3!

I am from the UK and live in Suzhou China for the last 10 years. I have been seriously studying Mandarin for the last 3 months. I have recently found Zero to Hero and it has been a valuable resource to help fill in the gaps the official course book has especially in the grammar points and a good source of resources for helping me find the best way for me to learn. My plan to continue with my studies through HSK 3 and beyond.
Raised in Canada, I am embarking on a journey to gain proficiency in Hanyu. The HSK1 course was a great way to help me master the material required for the test to achieve my test result. Now that I have passed HSK1, it’s on to HSK2!
I have been studying Chinese as a hobby to enrich my traveling experience and to be able to communicate with my family. I joined Chinese Zero to Hero to prepare for the HSK exam and become familiar with the format. The structure of the lessons allowed me to study part-time without becoming overwhelmed by the content. I took HSK 1 in March 2019 and plan to finish levels 2 & 3 later this year by using Chinese Zero to Hero as my primary study resource.
During my learning process (and I’m still on it) I’ve met Chinese Zero to Hero. I watched the free videos on YouTube and immediately recognized what great material it was; short videos, straight to the point, clear explanations and simple examples. But my plans now is change my approach while studying, to make it fun, encouraging and exciting.
I've been learning Mandarin since 2016. I thought my basic grammar knowledge is already quite okay, but I was impressed by Chinese Zero To Hero videos because they have helped me understand even the most simple grammar better. Each of the grammar points is explained clearly with entertaining skits at the end of videos. I also like that they don't provide pinyin even from HSK 1, because it trains us to hear and read better. I have been searching a satisfactory explanation for 就, the bane of my existence. I finally found my answer in Chinese Zero To Hero video.
I bought the ultimate bundle because I trust their course will definitely help me in HSK exams. In 2020, I took HSK 1 and 2 on the same day and managed to get full score for both. Their lessons are simple and easy to understand, even for confusing grammar points. Now I'm preparing for HSK 3 with their course and the textbook.
I started to study Chinese last year and our teacher encouraged us to take the HSK. I followed the first part of the HSK1 lessons and they were really helpful. I got a good score for HSK1. Now I plan to take HSK2, hopefully spring 2019.
I watched a couple of free videos from Chinese Zero to Hero on YouTube. They helped me to understand some of the grammar points in the HSK1 test. I especially found the examples in the video useful. The instructors are very helpful. I have posted questions on YouTube and Facebook and always got replies from them. I am currently taking the HSK2 online course with Chinese Zero to Hero, which I am confident will help me to pass my HSK2 test as well.
I am a Canadian and took several Mandarin classes before taking the HSK test. Now I would like to continue, but will have to do it through self-study. I’m am so pleased to find “Chinese Zero to Hero” and know it will be a big help in learning the vocabulary and grammar for HSK2.
My name is Muhammad Mooney (a qualified Chartered Accountant and a financial analyst) from Pakistan. Initially, learning Chinese was a passion, now it has been more of a challenge. Writing hanzi is still a night mare. I wish i can have some Chinese friends to speak language with.
I teach English online and started learning Mandarin in September 2017. I’ve been learning on my own but hired a tutor in March. I’ve just completed HSK book one with my tutor. I am taking the Zero to Hero courses to help with the grammar points and for extra practice. I enjoy all the useful tools as well.
