How to Make the Most AMAZING Chocolate Tart

Today we're gonna be making this crazy striped tart.
It is my attempt at a fancy French pastry
and I have to tell you, I think it looks pretty cool.
You're gonna love watching this.
It's so much easier than you think.
It might inspire you to break out that rolling pin
and make some magic happen.
Let's get started.
First off, we'll be making two batches of pastry dough.
One vanilla, one chocolate, both have to be chilled.
There's a lot of chilling in this recipe,
so I'm just gonna warn you ahead of time.
You can totally stage it out and do like one thing one day,
come back to it and like keep working.
Don't try and do it all at once. It's a lot of work.
1/2 a cup of cold butter into the bowl,
all of it dated with a paddle attachment
and now I'm adding in 80 grams of confectioner sugar.
Take a little bit less than a cup I think.
1/2 a teaspoon of salt
and 1/2 a teaspoon of vanilla.
There we go.
We're gonna mix it up into a paste.
It'll take a minute cause the butter's cold,
but it's supposed to be cold, so don't worry.
Walk away.
Clean some dishes.
